Million Paws Walk MelbourneOn Sunday May 19, the Living Active Team participated in the Million Paws Walk at Albert Park. It was a beautiful warm sunny day, and the perfect excuse to get out for a walk around the lake. The Million Paws Walk is an annual event run by the RSPCA raising money to fight animal cruelty.

Million Paws Walk MelbourneThe team on the day consisted of my wife Shari and our 2 kids, my parents and their dog Oscar, Kate and Sam. We met at MSAC at 10am before joining the crowds of people and their pooches at the sponsors arena next to the start line.

The arena was a hive of activity! There were stalls set up offering Doggie services and information, competitions were being run, and thousands of people spending the day out with their 4-legged friends. We entered a few of the competitions and Davi managed to win a prize for throwing a Doggie bone through a target!

The walk officially started at 11 am. As this was a non-competitive event, we meandered over the start line some-time after that. We took our time enjoying the atmosphere and the weather while cuddling all the beautiful dogs that surrounded us!.

Approximately 20 minutes into the walk, the kids became distracted by the grassy areas and playgrounds, which signified the end of the day for me. The rest of the team completed the walk, and Kate even completed another lap of the lake because she was enjoying it so much! Million Paws Walk Melbourne
